Fall 2019 Grant Allocations

Ballston Spa Education Foundation 2019 Grant Awards

The BSEF was founded in 1996 to raise, manage and distribute resources to educational enrichment projects throughout the Ballston Spa Central School District. Funded projects must be educationally enriching, innovative, creative, and include a plan for continuation beyond the Foundation’s support. This fall’s grant cycle was extremely competitive, with multiple excellent projects submitted for grant funding. Since inception and including the Fall 2019 cycle, the BSEF’s lifetime giving total is just over $390,000.

This fall, we were pleased to present grants to four worthy projects. The Fall 2019 awards, totaling $6,047.80, went to:

$1,000 to fund the Scotties Pantry at the Middle School – Hilary Northrop and Christine Jones

$2,177 to fund the purchase of a large format professional art printer for the high school – Andrea Tabor

$1,470.80 to fund Sensory Paths at Gordon Creek – Vicki Savini

$1,400 to fund a karaoke machine for the Middle School - Erica Lopez and Joseph Shaver

Congratulations to all! The spring grant cycle will open prior to Spring Recess, and we encourage any interested teachers or staff members to apply.
