As you may know, the Ballston Spa Education Foundation had to cancel the 2020 Taste of Ballston Spa fundraiser due to the Covid-19 outbreak. For years, this annual fundraiser, held the first week of April, provided a special evening that brought together our community’s great restaurants, teachers, administrators, students, and BSEF supporters. Disappointed, but undaunted, the BSEF remains committed to providing grants to teachers and to raising funds—in which every dollar raised goes directly to a teacher for student and classroom enrichment.
We are pleased to announce, that from Nov. 15th to Nov. 22nd, the Ballston Spa Education Foundation will be hosting an online fundraiser to help increase the size and number of grants available to teachers. Just in time for the winter holidays, we’ve put together a collection of experiences, indulgences, and necessities designed to do the double duty of inspiring BSEF supporters with potential holiday gifts and supporting our teachers through the money raised. This auction represents not only the BSEF’s unwavering commitment to the Ballston Spa Central School District, but, more immediately, it represents what is likely to be the last chance of 2020 to donate to the foundation.
Please join us and bid big for our teachers!
About the BSEF:
Ballston Spa Education Foundation (BSEF) is a non-profit group supporting the mission of the Ballston Spa Central School District by raising and distributing resources for educational enrichment outside the daily operational needs of the school district. Since its inception in 1996, BSEF has granted nearly $400,000 to fund educationally enriching programs at all levels.
Our mission is to support educational enrichment for the students of Ballston Spa. Through grants to educators, we fund projects that are outside the scope of the Ballston Spa Central School District's budget. Specifically, projects that impact students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, or social development—increasing the depth and/or variety of subjects or some other form of educational benefit.
We like to think of ourselves as the “cherry on top” of what is regularly funded by the District.
We don’t fill holes in school funding; we amplify the education experiences of children.
