With these latest grant awards, the BSEF has, since its inception in 1996, funded over $335,000 in enrichment grants to the school district. The Ballston Spa Education Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with an all volunteer board made up of community members whose mission is to raise and distribute resources for educational enrichment opportunities outside the realm of the daily operational needs of the district.

Kids’ Engineering Learn Local event on February 3
Jan. 21, 2018 - Register now for Ballston Spa Education Foundation’s Kids’ Engineering Learn Local event from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, at Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Students in grades 3-8 will explore the fundamentals of engineering and mechanical design with hands-on activities such as creating hydraulic lifts, balloon powered cars, and more! Tickets are $25, and must be purchased in advance.

A Taste of Ballston Spa event on April 16
Jan. 21, 2018 - The Ballston Spa Education Foundation will hold its annual fundraiser—A Taste of Ballston Spa—on April 16 at the Ballston Spa High School. All proceeds from the event directly benefit students of Ballston Spa.  

Guests will be able to sample delicious offerings from some of the area's most popular restaurants and food vendors.


Second Graders Perform Play About Genres

March 16, 2016 - Congratulations to Second Grade Teacher Andrew Ferrone who received a grant from the Ballston Spa Education Foundation to help provide the majority of costumes for the one-of-a-kind play, “What Genre is That!?!.” Read more on the Ballston Spa CSD website 


In 2015-2016, the Ballston Spa Education Foundation presented grant awards to educators in the Ballston Spa Central School District, totaling over $10,700. The funds included supporting a 2nd grade play at Wood Road Elementary School, a laser cutter for the Ballston Spa High School Technology Department and a Little Library program at the Milton Terrace Elementary School. Grants were also awarded to the Ballston Spa Middle School for a geode splitter and headphones for the Science Department and a Piano Keyboard Lab for the Music Department.
